Des Moines Waterland Pride hosts an annual PrideFest every June in the heart of Des Moines, Washington. We host free game nights, participate in local Des Moines events like the Halloween Trick or Treat paths and nonprofit summits, and are often supported by fundraisers with local merchants. We also partner with local nonprofit organizations such as The Rotary Club of Des Moines and Normandy Park to bring Drag Bingo to our community.

Waterland PrideFest 2026
Save the date! Our biggest and best PrideFest yet will be held at the historic Des Moines Theater, as we take Pride in Community! Featuring drag shows, a local-vendor market, games, activities, and community resources celebrating LGBTQIA+ pride. More info coming soon!
Summer Drag Queen Bingo Brunch
Another epic Drag Bingo hosted by the Rotary club, but make it brunch! Proceeds will support the Highline School's Foundation and Waterland Pride. The event will be held at the The Cove in Normandy Park. Support a great cause and have a blast with friends.
Drinks and an assortment of bakery items, hot foods and fruit available along with a silent auction during the event!
Friday the 13th Drag Queen Bingo
Come join us for a fabulous (and lucky!) night of Drag Bingo hosted by the Rotary club! Proceeds will support the Highline School's Foundation and Waterland Pride. Get ready for a fun-filled evening of laughter, prizes, and entertainment. The event will be held at the The Cove in Normandy Park. Halloween Drag Queen Bingo
Join the Rotary Club of Des Moines in an evening of spooky fun with Bingo, prizes, and a silent auction! The proceeds of the evening will support Waterland Pride and the Highline Schools Foundation.
Rainbow Game Day
Join us for an afternoon of games, puzzles, and community! All Ages, everyone is welcome. We will have a signature mocktail and other drinks and snacks available. You are welcome to bring your own as well. Let’s play!
Fundraiser: Make your own custom candle
Celebrate Des Moines Waterland Pride weekend with a fun candlemaking fundraiser on Sunday, June 22nd, hosted by our friends at De Nevea Design and Kaihana Sushi. Craft your own unique fragrance while championing your local Pride community, as this event proudly supports Des Moines Waterland Pride, with $10 from each ticket sold going directly to our foundation.
Just $35 per person, which includes a custom-made 12 oz candle. Guests get to choose their vessel, wax color, and scent (or experiment with fragrance combinations to develop your own signature scent). Tickets sold at the door.
Secure your spot today with an RSVP, though drop-ins are also welcome. Event runs from 1-7pm, drop in any time between then. Don't forget to dazzle us in your rainbow attire!
Midwinter Mixer
Join us for a pancake and bagel bar and an opportunity to learn more about Waterland Pride, provide input on our future, and learn how you can get involved.
LGBTQ+ Cribbage Night
Join us for a little fun and community during the holidays! We are hosting an all ages cribbage afternoon and evening. We will have cribbage lessons on the hour, other board games to play, a hot cocoa bar, and prizes! You are welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages. Alcohol allowed after 5pm (BYOB).
